Simple Machines Marketing is growing and looking for a new digital marketing associate to join our strategy team. This role will help the Director of Marketing Operations in researching and implementing digital marketing strategies and provide hands-on support for monthly reporting and data analysis. The Associate must possess an outstanding work ethic, a keen sense of initiative and responsibility, and a desire to own important tasks that support the team and help the company succeed in providing marketing expertise to its clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build on their experience with digital marketing technologies and channels.

You may be a good candidate for this role if you:

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience and understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices including paid social media advertising, SEO, PPC, HubSpot and Google Analytics
  • Have a familiarity and active interest in digital marketing tools, technology, channels and analytics such as SEO, PPC, marketing automation (HubSpot experience preferred) and Google Analytics
  • Appreciate excellent, detail-oriented reporting and data analysis
  • Are self-motivating and organized and can meet administrative deadlines
  • Are a natural problem-solver and comfortable thinking on your feet

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Paid digital media planning, setup and management
  • Keyword research and recommendations
  • SEO best practices implementation
  • Content editing
  • Competitor research
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Results tracking and project management
  • HubSpot onboarding and account management
  • Learn and leverage other new business/marketing technologies
  • Keep up to date with industry topics and changes that influence strategies and execution

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing execution role
  • Experience with HubSpot, Inbound certification required. Additional HubSpot certifications or experience with other marketing automation platforms would impress us
  • 3 years experience with Google Analytics
  • 3 years experience social media advertising platforms
  • Prior work experience researching and recommending marketing tactics
  • Willingness to learn and have an eye for detail
  • Thrive in an environment where communication between team members is exceptionally transparent

The role will foster client relationships with outstanding customer service, and contribute to clients’ ongoing marketing initiatives via content, campaigns, and reporting.   • Maintaining accurate client records related to contacts, email and physical addresses, soft data, contracts, follow-ups, agendas, expenses and cost of goods, scheduling, and billing
  • Staying on top of trends and best practices
